When a dominatrix has humility, she is able to relate much better to her submissive. Sometimes, the dominant person thinks she is better than her submissive. That makes for a dangerous situation. A healthy dominant and submissive relationship will be a relationship of understanding, where both parties know they have room for growth.

Humility allows for the dominatrix to understand that she can and will make mistakes. She is not perfect, even though she is in control. She has things to learn, and she can actually learn some of those things from her partner. The relationship will give her a chance for personal growth, as long as she accepts it.

The worst thing a dominatrix can do is to think that her partner has nothing to offer her. That means that she does not respect him. She will not be able to satisfy her partner with that kind of an attitude. Both people in the relationship need each other. One is not more important than the other.

The best kind of a dominatrix understands that she does have things to learn, and she is not perfect. Humility will allow the dominant to apologize to the submissive when mistakes are made. A dominatrix must understand that mistakes will be made, even when the best interests of the submissive are at heart.

It is never a good idea for a dominatrix to ignore her flaws and mistakes. While she might think that ignoring her mistakes causes her to appear stronger to her submissive that could not be further from the truth. The submissive will not respect that his dominatrix is unable to acknowledge her mistakes and he will view it as a sign of weakness on her part.

When a mistake is made, the dominatrix must go to the submissive and offer a heartfelt apology. This will allow for the lines of communication to open up and both parties will be able to feel better about the situation.

Even the strongest dominatrix out there has room to grow. No one is perfect, even those who have all of the power. Humility creates a greater understanding for the wants and needs of the partnering and creates a more fulfilling relationship. Humility is necessary for the relationship to last.

These kinds of relationships are meant to foster growth for both parties, not just the submissive. The dominatrix can learn a lot and if she allows herself, she can become a more complete person with self exploration and by learning from the situations that are presented to her.
